Seat of the Soul Meditation...
The intention of this meditation is to be able to step out of the noise that surrounds us. Have you ever noticed that sometimes life moves you around instead of you directing your life? Or, that you are in a lot of motion. Many times you move to things. There is something over there, you look at it and there you go as a consciousness. Or in some cases, have you noticed that you are the effect of other people’s thoughts and emotions? And, you let those thoughts and emotions direct you and then in about an hour, a day later, a week later, you ask how did I get here? What am I doing here?
To a great extent it is not being able to be aware of where you are when you are there. Sometimes you sit and think and someone interrupts you and they ask what where you thinking, and you don’t remember. Or, you have an intention to do something and someone or something distracts you and then three days later you remember you had that intention.
What happens many times is that we do not have a solid reference point to perceive the world around us. Or, to have clear intention that we can follow through as we proceed on our path. It is difficult to know where you are on going and how to get there, when you do not know where you are when you start the journey. Here are some instructions to assist you while navigating on your path.
Instructions:
Be aware of your index fingers on both of your hands. Point them as if you were pointing at someone. Then, place those index fingers on the temples of your head. There is a soft spot on the side of the head just above your eyes. Would you simple put your fingertips on the temples and would you move your awareness? Just simply become aware of yourself between those two fingers. Draw a line, and then be on the line. Simply bring your attention to that point on the line. Take a breath. This is a very simple tool.
Now, rotate your index fingers 90 degrees. Put one of the fingers on your forehead where your sixth chakra is in the point above your nose in the middle of your forehead. And, put the other index finger pointing directly at the back of your head creating a line between the two fingertips. What I’d like for you to notice is where the two lines intersect. It is going to be slightly above your eyes and slightly behind them. Put your fingers there and see if you can find that point where the lines intersect? Take a breath and with your eyes closed it is as if you were looking through windows from a point behind your eyes. Take another breath. And, when you get a sense of that, remove your fingers, and get relaxed. Relax the body. Now, see if you can sit there for a moment looking through your eyes even though they are closed.
The center of your head is a very valuable place to understand. It is like a command center. It is a point from where you can observe from, a point of reference or a place of observation to assess the rest of the world. The interesting part about the center of your head is that everyone you have grown up with also knows how important the center of your head is. And, many of those people you grew up with, especially as a little kid, had a better idea of how to run you than you did from their point of view. Many of them loved and adored you. They would say things like: I want to keep you safe, I want to make you successful and I want you to do it on my terms, because I know what safe and successful is. They would say this without saying it. So many times people climb into the center of the head and you get moved out of the center of your head. So one of the reasons we don’t have a sense of where am I, how am I in relationship to my world, is because there are many that sit in the center of your head. Take a breath.
As you begin to take back the center of your head, and align with your own frequencies, vibrations, the love that you are, nothing else can sit in the center of your head. Everything begins to move as you take back your seniority. Take another breath. Notice if your mind has already started wandering, you lost focus and started having a series of thoughts. That is all the energy that sits in the middle of the head. Simple allow it there. Be aware of yourself.
